I am under 18, can I participate?

If you are under the age of 18, you must be accompanied by a Parent or Guardian. The minimum age is 16

How much does it cost?

There are three tour options:

Who carries my bags?

The tour will have a Support Van which will carry your luggages from each location to another.

Is Dinner included?

The following dinners are included in the price:

  • Day 0 - 22 Nov - Launceston (East Coast)
  • Day 6 - 27 Nov - Hobart (East Coast)
  • Day 7 - 28 Nov - Hobart (West Coast)
  • Day 12 - 3rd Dec - Gowrie Park ( West Coast)

Our staff will be available to assist you with bookings and recommendations on other evenings.

We have evolved to this set-up as past editions found guests wanting to dine earlier or later or take a break from group dining.

Is alcohol included at dinner?

Drinks such as water, soft drinks, tea and coffee are included

On average we included 1/2 bottle of wine per person at the dinner table. i.e. if there are 12 people in the group, we are more than happy to pay for 6 bottles of wine at the table.

Alcoholic drinks such as pre-dinner and post will not be included

How fit do i need to be?

Riders must be accustomed to being on the bike for 5+ hours per day for at least 6 days in a row. You must be able to ride an average of 15-25km/h along various gradients and weather conditions, riding in a group. Please ensure that you are both physcially and posture fit for long days in the saddle.

Can I only ride some of the route?

Yes, there are three options:

You choose the one that is best suited to your fitness and ability.

Do I need to fundraise?

No, you are not obliged to fundraise and pay the Full Fee

If you do Fundraise $500 or more you will receive a $500 discount on your tour fees

When registering you will select one of our two Beneficiaries and we will set up a Fundraising page for you.

Extra optional activities

There are several optional extra activities on offer such as Golf, Mountain Biking, Kayaking and River Cruises.

These are not included in the price, but we can assist in booking them for you.

We will also endeavour to transfer you to any location which is not in walking distance.

Do I need to ride with the group?

Yes we ask the group sticks together for safety reasons and fairness to cars travelling on the road. Riders strung out over several kilometres can be dangerous.

Very often two groups form: faster and moderate, we ask you ride in the one you are best suited to and more comfortable in.

Please always wait for anyone that may drop off, this is cycling tourism, not a race

Can I rent a bike?

Yes there are several bike rental companies you can rent a bike from, please contact us for further details (this will be at your own cost)

Do i have to dine with the group every night?

No, we have included some meals in the price, but left your dinner options fully open. We find that many people like to eat earlier or later, hence break away from the  main group.

What happens to my bike box if i only do half the tour?

If for example you fly into Launceston with your bike box and you are only doing the East Coast,  your bike box will couriered to Hobart and stored safely at our hotel.

What happens if I cant ride the entire day?

Our Support Van is equipped to carry some riders in case of bad weather or not feeling well. But we advise to you train properly to avoid doing using the van for other than emergency or extreme situations.
